RTWC relies on a volunteers to complete the much-needed repairs across the county. We are passionate about connecting volunteers with some of our most vulnerable neighbors. Volunteers of all skill levels and interests are welcome.

Here is a little more about the important work of our volunteers:

Individuals – RTWC has a variety of opportunities for individuals to volunteer, including: office support, board leadership, and repair work. Every month RTWC hosts a volunteer orientation for people to learn how they can take part in volunteering throughout the year. Join us for an informal discussion to learn more about RTWC, learn about different opportunities, and to meet other like-minded community members. Let us know if you will be joining us by signing up here.

Fix-It Squad – RTWC has a squad of volunteers with a variety of skills in home repair and construction. The squad joins every month after the volunteer orientation to discuss priority needs in the community and take on jobs for the coming month. Stick around after the orientation to meet the squad and learn how you can join!

Groups – We have been fortunate to host a number of groups committed to making Washington County a better place to live. Whether your group is 10 people or 100 people we can accommodate you and the skills of your group throughout the year. If you are interested in volunteering please contact RTWC’s Program Manager Monica Arnett at [email protected] at least 1 month before your event.

National Rebuilding Month – National Rebuilding Month is an annual month-long call to service, culminating with National Rebuilding Day. Throughout the month we host a variety of repair projects, community clean ups, and a fundraiser to fund all the work that we come together to complete on the last Saturday of April. On that Saturday, hundreds of community members come together with Washington County corporations, local businesses, churches, and community groups, to support homeowners with critical and transformative home repairs. These repairs include exterior painting, repairing floors, replacing siding, installing grab bars in bathrooms, and building ramps.
