RTWC Preferred Contractors
Rebuilding Together Washington County has a long and rich history of matching volunteers with homeowners to complete repairs. We have seen how neighbors-helping-neighbors can transform a life. We are proud of this history and will continue to prioritize working with volunteers; however, our growing and changing community make it essential to partner with contractors to help increase the amount of support we are able to provide to our neighbors-in need.
Commitment to Equity
At RTWC, we acknowledge that the United States has a long-history of practices and policies that have kept communities from experiencing safe and healthy housing. RTWC pursues effective strategies and devotes dedicated time and resources at every level of our organization to be responsive to the expressed needs of people struggling with housing instability and to address these disparities through high-quality, culturally responsive services.
As part of our commitment to acknowledge and alleviate barriers created by systemic oppression, RTWC:
-
- Requires all contractors to adhere to our code of conduct
- Prioritizes working with minority-owned businesses and contractors to complete critical repairs for homeowners
